Sycamore trees along 100 block of S. 22nd St, Terre Haute, IN

TREES Inc. is a non-profit environmental group founded in January, 1990 to encourage the planting of trees in Terre Haute. Major projects include:

Adopt-a-Street Tree Campaign.
For $25, residents may "adopt" a tree to be planted in the street row in front of, or along the side of, their house. Planting usually occurs during the end of March.

Daffodil Project
Residents may buy Holland-grown daffodil bulbs directly from TREES Inc at cost.

Champion Big Tree Registry
TREES documents the largest trees in Vigo County for listing in the Indiana State Big Tree Champion registry.

Neighborhood Dogwood Project
Residents of select city neigborhoods (e.g., Farrington Grove) may purchase a white dogwood sapling for planting in their yard.

For an application form (for a tree or bulbs) or for more information about TREES projects, please call the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service at (812) 462-3371.
